A Chevron and Polka Dot First Birthday Celebration

I'm so excited to share this first birthday celebration that my friend, Sunshine, hosted for her sweet baby girl, Willow. The color scheme/pattern theme of her party was chevron and polka dots incorporated with bright colors. Sunshine used several Etsy shops to complete the look she wanted for Willow's party including the Lemonade Design Studio for the invitations, labels, favor tags, and "Wishes for Willow" cards, Southern Style Stitche for the smash cake bib, and Zoe Bee Designs for the first birthday poster. The favor bags and straws were purchased from Sweet Lulu.

Everything that is painted was done by Sunshine. The "Happy Birthday Willow" sign was made from an old piece of tin from a barn on her farm and all of the wooden signs were made from wood from the same barn. Each guest was asked to leave a few kind words on the "Wishes for Willow" cards and also to sign the "W" that was used in place of a guest book.
There was a sandbox and a kiddie pool that was filled with play balls for the kids to play with as well as a playground that was already at the venue for the older children. All of the children received a beach ball, cotton candy, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and goldfish as their favors. The cake plate they used to display Willow's cake was also the one Sunshine and her husband, Jim, used for their own wedding cake!
Thanks so much for sharing, Sunshine! Sending much love to you, Jim, and sweet Willow!
