Ahoy, It's a Boy! A Nautical Baby Shower

When my friends and I began planning a baby shower for our good friend, Mary Grace, I knew we had to go with a nautical theme for her sweet baby boy, Bowen. The color scheme of navy, white, and yellow is so classic and provided so many design options with which to decorate.

The blue and white geoprint table runner fabric came from Hobby Lobby, and the yellow napkins were made from leftover material I had from a previous project. Thanks to Pinterest, I found the idea to use twine and Lifesavers candy as napkin rings. I loved the added nautical touch!

The straws were purchased from Etsy and provided such a fun touch to the beverages that were served. The centerpieces were the same twine-wrapped Mason jars I used for the Cattle Barons' Ball Party, and I arranged yellow sunflowers from Publix in them (got to love that 3 bouquets for $12 deal!)
The shower was held at eleven in the morning, so we made breakfast foods (breakfast sausage casserole, creme brulee French toast, and hash brown casserole) and served sweet tea, lemonade, and orange juice. The adorable monogram of Bowen's initials was used as the backdrop for the drink station, and it will later be used in his nursery near his crib!
