An Elegant Garden Bridesmaids' Luncheon

My client wanted to create a beautiful bridesmaids' luncheon that celebrated the laid-back style of the bride while also maintaining a "bridal" feel. We settled on using a color palette of creams, whites, tans, and greens to create a rustic yet elegant luncheon.

The white damask napkins were tied with burlap ribbon and set atop white plates. Small coral rosebuds were tucked inside the burlap ties to add some whimsy.

I wanted to make sure the table had lots of texture since we were using so many shades of white and cream, so I chose to use table runners made from an old matelasse coverlet I had. These table runners were placed atop craft paper which was laid over white tablecloths. The layered look of the table covers added texture and depth to the monochromatic color palette.
I wanted the centerpieces to be unkempt and wild looking, so greenery was used in these pewter cups I purchased at Goodwill and have used at previous showers. The whole look of the luncheon was simple yet elegant and sophisticated. I'm so pleased with the way it turned out!

Best wishes to the bride, Layne, and her sweet husband, Ryan!
