Decorating for the University of Missouri Tigers

A few weekends ago, the Gators played against the University of Missouri Tigers, and they were once again hosted at the local steakhouse in my hometown. Their colors are gold and black, so thankfully, we were able to recycle our gold chargers from the LSU game and our black table runners from the South Carolina game to create the perfect celebratory, game day color palette.

In one room, the men sat at long tables with alternating gold and black chargers atop black table runners. In an adjoining room, there were four tables for the coaches’ and boosters’ wives. Their table runners were done in a fun trellis pattern that matched the gold and black tones of the team. Atop their tables were glasses from Goodwill that I had spray painted gold and filled with hydrangea leaves. Black charger complemented the color scheme.

The window boxes on the men’s tables were filled with yellow mums purchased in the garden section at Lowe’s. You’ll recognize the window boxes as the centerpieces from the South Carolina game!
Using an envelope fold for the napkins, the selected menu for the night with the team’s emblem was placed atop their plates. Go Tigers!
