I Give You My Heart: A Valentine's Day Tablescape

I'm planning a simple and fun Valentine's Day luncheon for some of my girlfriends, and I just started the initial styling for the tablescape.

I like to practice what everything will look like a few days beforehand so I can move things around and get everything just right. I take photos and pull together different color combinations and textures. (You'll notice that the napkins are on the wrong side of the plate...I blame this on the large amounts of Day-Quil I am taking to fend off this flu bug! Sorry, y'all!)

The pink chargers I used are from my best friend's bridal shower I hosted last year. I used standard white plates and mixed in different vintage napkins and some older silverware. I love it when everything looks a little "off," which I think adds charm and personality.

Once I get the complete guest list together, I'll write the name of each guest on the red doilies I purchased from the "$1 Spot" at Target using a white paint pen.

I'll also add silver candelabras to match the vintage silverware and place freshly-picked light pink, white, and hot pink camellias in the heart-shaped glass bowls that line the center of the table. The pink glasses were purchased by my mom at an estate sale.

I'm looking for ideas for a light, fun cocktail and light desserts for this brunch. Tea sandwiches and parfaits, perhaps? I've got time to think on the menu, but until then, tell me what you think of my preliminary decor! Stay tuned for the final look!
