If I Were to Decorate the Royal Baby's Nursery...

When I found out that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (a.k.a. Wills and Kate) were expecting a baby, I was so thrilled! When they got married, I woke up at 3 a.m. to begin watching every bit of wedding coverage on every station imaginable. I pored over every detail of the festivities: from how long it took to make Kate’s dress to what food was served at their reception.

Now, I’m obsessed with the idea of how Kate will decorate her baby’s nursery. The baby is reportedly a girl, but the palace is keeping mum (pun completely intended). If Kate’s interior design taste is anything similar to her amazing fashion sense, this baby’s nursery will be amazing!

If I was asked to decorate the Royal Baby’s room, I would pick blush pink, gold and cream tones for the color palette along with soft textures such as berber carpet and lush Frette linens atop a daybed (where Princess Kate could catch some shut eye while Royal Baby slept).

A beautiful antique crystal chandelier would cast a soft glow over the room. Naturally, I would find a way to work his or her monogram in to the decor scheme. The overall feel of the nursery will be understated glamour.

I’m loving these photos for inspiration. The girly touches are perfection!
