What To Ask An Event Coordinator

I’m often asked what makes a great event coordinator/stylist.

My answer is always: Remember your comfort level. You want to make sure your event coordinator/stylist instills confidence in you, and that they are fully aware of your vision for the event you are hosting.

Every single part of the event should reflect you and your creative vision.

When you are interviewing a potential event coordinator/stylist for your upcoming event, it is important to ask these questions below to ensure that they will be the right fit for you and your event:
  • What experience do you have and how long have you been in the event planning industry?
  • How many events have you coordinated and/or styled that are similar to the one I am planning?
  • Do you have adequate experience with large gatherings or do you only specialize in smaller events?
  • Can you provide recommendations or testimonials from past clients?
  • Do you have a preferred list of venues and vendors that you have worked closely with in the past?
  • What services are included in your fee? Are there any hidden costs that I should expect?
