How to Give the Perfect Hostess Gift

Any time I am a guest at someone's home or party, I always make sure to bring a gift that the host will enjoy and use often. He or she has done so much to prepare for your arrival to ensure that you have a fantastic time, so it's important to show your appreciation.

I've rounded up some of my favorite hostess gifts to give:

Monogrammed Cocktail Napkins:
These are simple yet so sweet and personal. Every time your host has a party in the future, he or she will look back at these cocktail napkins and always think of you. I love these from Mark and Graham. They come with free personalization and a pretty complimentary gift box. What's not to love?

Flowers:
Instead of bringing a bouquet of flowers to the party, I suggest sending a beautiful floral arrangement a day or two before the event. This allows the host to enjoy them before the party, and prevents them from having to find a vase, cut the stems, and arrange them right before or during the party when things are chaotic. Your consideration of their time will be greatly appreciated!

Soaps:
These are the perfect trinkets to give a host because they can be used in a powder bath for other guests to enjoy. Pick a scent that smells clean and fresh, not overly fruity or sweet. I love the soaps from Crabtree & Evelyn, especially the Nantucket Briar Collection.
