A "Tutu Cute" Baby Shower: Sips and Sweets to Celebrate a Sweet Baby Girl

I have been dying to tell y'all about the adorable baby shower some friends and I have been planning for our dear friend, Courtney, but I couldn't spill the beans because Courtney is a loyal reader of my blog! So, here are the details!

When we first discussed hosting a shower for Courtney, we knew that our color scheme had to involve pink, but we didn't want to go overboard, so we anchored the pink with shades of mint and gold. We then turned to Pinterest for more inspiration and found a plethora of ballerina and tutu-themed baby showers, so our theme was set.

The shower took place at her sister-in-law's home. Pink and white striped table runners topped the tables. The gold vases I used for the Emmy party were filled with pink and white flowers. At the entrance to the shower, we asked each guest to write a "Wish for Baby" that we then bound together with ribbon for the baby to read when she is older.
We draped old ballet pointe shoes around the room and a large monogram of the baby's initials was placed on the mantel above the gifts. This was our gift to Courtney so she can use it to announce the baby's arrival on her front door as well as use it in the baby's nursery.
The piece de resistance was the dessert table. The shower was in the middle of the afternoon, so we decided to serve an array of delicious desserts like lemon squares, mint brownies, white chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered strawberries, and mini cupcakes. We arranged the desserts in a variety of heights and used a large chalkboard to detail the dessert menu. Pink cocktail napkins with the baby's initials in gold lettering was another gift for Courtney to use at future sip and sees for her baby girl.
In keeping with the tutu/ballerina theme, we made tutu skirts for both the dessert table and the beverage table using lots of pink tulle, pins, and elastic. It was a time consuming process, but the end result was amazing and had everyone oohing and ahhing over our handiwork!
Our signature beverage was champagne over mint sherbet, which we called "Tutu Tipsy Cocktails." It was colorful and delicious! The champagne stems were tied with pink tulle.

The shower was so fun and it was such an honor to shower Courtney and her sweet baby girl!
